Part D Explanation of Benefits (EOB)

MVP Health Care is required to send out an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statement on a monthly basis to all members who use their Part D pharmacy benefit. This EOB contains total TrOOP and Drug Spend amounts for the plan year, along with a summary of all prescriptions obtained that month. EOBs are sent at the end of each month for the prior month's utilization. For example, at the end of February, you will receive your January EOB. EOBs are also provided at the end of a plan year for annual documentation of all your Part D drugs. They are also sent to members upon disenrollment from the plan.

You may not always receive an EOB . If you do not use your pharmacy benefit during a particular month of the year, you will not receive an EOB statement for that month. If you think that you did not receive a monthly statement in error, please contact CVS/caremark.

You may receive an EOB when you did not expect one . Every time a member uses their Part D coverage to obtain a prescription, an EOB will be generated and sent out. Sometimes EOBs are generated and sent out for past prescriptions because of systematic updates. In other words, sometimes you could receive an EOB during a month that you did not use your Part D benefit. Members can expect to receive updated EOBs for any prior prescriptions during any plan year that they have had Part D coverage. It is important to review your EOB statements for accuracy. If there are questions regarding your EOB, please contact CVS/caremark.
